Canterbury Road #1

Working on this residence with over 150 year history required careful planning and a steady nerve. We worked with the engineer and steel fabricators to design a method for propping and pinning to support the top building for installation of large steel columns.

Building from boundary to boundary we overcame limitations in space to create stylish and light filled rooms including a powder room, kitchen, dining and laundry. The integration of concrete, timber and steel complete this modern and warm residence.

The most rewarding feature was building a table from the original floor joists, a beautiful keep sake for the owners and reminder of the history of their home. It was a pleasure to create and work with such old timber.
